Thinking of visiting Haven Church Farm Holiday Park? Read our review to find out what we thought of it during a recent three day visit…
Located just down the road from Bognor Regis in Sussex, we had our first Haven Holiday during May Half Term. It was took two hours to get there from our home in Kent which is the perfect amount of time – we felt like we had a complete change of scene but didn’t have to spend too long getting there!
Haven Church Farm Holiday Park review – tell me a bit more about the park?
Church Farm Holiday Village is a 15 minute drive from the charming town of Chichester. The site has a central clubhouse with an arcade, heated outdoor pool and indoor pool with flume.
Church Farm Holiday Village is just a short walk to a shingle beach and dogs are welcome at the park. It’s not far from the stunning West Wittering Beach and of course Butlins which I’m sure you are familiar with!
As well as the heated indoor and outdoors pools and flume, Haven’s Church Farm boasts tennis courts, crazy golf, an entertainment venue, two food & drink venues, pool tables, a nature trail and mini market.
Visitors can pre-book places for activities including aqua gliding, animal creations, den building, firelighting techniques, pebble art and many more! Plus join in the family entertainment available day and night hosted by Haven’s animation team.
Choose between caravans and luxury lodges during there stay – there are lots of options depending on your budget.
What did we think of Haven Church Farm Holiday Park?
First impressions of Church Farm were good! The park looked clean, well laid out and it was easy to find. So a good start! We arrived a bit earlier than our check-in time and hoped to be able to check in, but after getting to the top of the queue, I was advised to come back at our allotted time. I thought it was fair enough and we went to explore the park.
We stayed in a ‘Deluxe Newer Model’ caravan and I think it was good value for money. We were located in a quiet corner of the park and had a lovely sheltered space outside the front where we were able to enjoy some sunshine in the afternoon.
The caravan was clean, modern and had everything we needed. The rooms are obviously compact but that’s what we expected. The living space was just right for us – two adults, two children and a baby. The only minor criticism of the caravan was that the bedding did smell a bit musty, especially my husband’s pillow (apparently). It wasn’t so bad that we needed to complain but it’s just something to mention.
We enjoyed fish & chips from the on-site takeaway on the night we arrived and it got the thumbs up from all of us. We also had a few drinks in the reasonably priced bar throughout our stay as well as lunch and dinner there on the Saturday. There was something to suit all of our tastes and although the weather wasn’t that warm when we were there, there is some fantastic outdoor seating to enjoy during the better weather.
We used the swimming pool once and although it is fairly small, the number of visitors versus size of pool was good. We still had our own space and my kids and I enjoyed going on the flume. The outdoor pool was a bit chilly for me but the kids had fun splashing around in it.
We went to the entertainment on one of the evenings and stayed for a drink. My boys just didn’t have the same enthusiasm as me and wanted to chill out back at the caravan, so that’s what we did! Lots of other families seemed to be enjoying it though. And next time we go, I’ll hopefully be able to encourage my daughter (who is now walking) to get involved!
We had some fantastic days out while staying at Church Farm – visiting West Wittering Beach, exploring the grounds of Church Farm, wandering around Chichester and visiting Butlin’s on the way home. I’ll be writing about them in another blog post so watch this space.
If you are thinking of booking a Havan holiday then I would have no hesitation recommending Church Farm Holiday Park. It was spacious, clean and good value for money. Visit the Haven website HERE to find out more about staying at Church Farm.
