6 daytime date locations to visit in Lincolnshire this Spring and Summer

daytime date locations to visit in Lincolnshire

This year has changed the landscape of the dating world and in many ways, I think it is for the better. People don’t need to waste time and money going out for in-person first dates only to find out that they have nothing in common with the person they were meeting. Instead, they can have lots of conversations online, even choosing to have a virtual date before actually meeting in person.

When the time does come to meet in person, there are lots of inventive options for that first ‘live’ date too. If you have met through a Lincolnshire dating site for more mature people looking for love, then you can choose some lovely places to meet for the first time in person or for subsequent dates after that.

A thriving Lincolnshire dating scene combined with the fact that there are so many picturesque places around this lovely place mean that you’ll be spoilt for choice! Here are some of our favourites:

Lincoln Cathedral

The iconic Lincoln Cathedral is a must-visit whether you have been to it before or not. Steeped in years and years of history, take a wander around and lean something you might not have already known. Afterwards, why not pop into one of the nearby coffee shops to have a chat and plan your next date?

Lincoln Castle

Another iconic historical site, Lincoln Castle was constructed during the late 11th century by William the Conqueror on the site of a pre-existing Roman fortress. Discover the castle’s two mottes and take the 360 degree medieval wall walk around this gem of a place. Or why not visit the historical Lincoln Prison at the castle too?

Beach walk anyone?

Personally I love a beach walk and there are lots of opportunities for this in Lincolnshire. Consider visiting the seaside town of Skegness. The town is 43 miles east of Lincoln and has a population of around 20,000 so it is small but still lots going on. Enjoy a stroll along the big beach and stop for some ice cream along the way. If you really enjoy it, then why not make it into a road-trip next time and incorporate some visits to nearby attractions too?

Easton Walled Gardens

Have you been to the Easton Walled Gardens? If not, then you must check them out. They would be the perfect place for a romantic date. The gorgeous garden was revived in 2001 and visitors are now welcome to come and can see the grounds that were described by President Franklin Roosevelt as ‘a dream of Nirvana, almost too good to be true.’ Enjoy the popular tearoom there too and enjoy the laid back vibe.

Fabulous Fantasy Island

We all like releasing our inner-child sometimes and a visit to Fantasy Island will do just this! Located in Ingoldmells on the sunny east coast of Lincolnshire, Fantasy Islan is full of extreme rides and coasters as well as more ‘tame’ rides, arcades and other attractions to choose from. Have a wander around the market while you are there too and of course choose from many of the eateries on offer.
